Vijaya Thakur

Born and brought up in Rajouri, culturally diverse and a beautiful town of Jammu and Kashmir; Ms. Vijaya Thakur is an established poet and translator, working as a lecturer zoology for Education Department of J&K (UT). She has been awarded best teacher award by president in 2009 and has two poetry collections to her credit i.e. "Kee Je" (her own collection of Dogri poems) and "Namen Laake ch" (translation of Sahitya Akademi awarded Hindi poetry of Arun Kamal "Naye Ilakae Mein" to Dogri)
